2021年８月３日，组委会向所有参展商紧急发送了展会可能延期的风险预警通知，此后上海又发现多起感染病例，经向上海市政府各相关主管部门多次请示并与世博展览馆充分沟通，听取各方意见和谨慎考虑后，中国国际复合材料工业技术展览会组委会决定：
鉴于当前上海新冠肺炎疫情防控局势及严格的审批政策，为保障每一位参会者的生命健康和最广泛的利益，原定于2021年9月13日-15日在上海世博展览馆举办的2021中国国际复合材料工业技术展览会延期至2021年12月举办，具体日期另行通知，请密切关注展会网站和微信公众号等官方渠道发布的消息。
